Maoist Center’s Bista joining CPN-UML

SURKHET: A group of Maoist Center leaders including the outgoing provincial lawmaker Thammar Bista, who has left the CPN-Maoist Center, is joining the CPN-UML party.

Senior Vice President of the CPN-UML Ishwor Pokharel has reached Surkhet on Sunday to welcome Bista to the party.

Along with Bista, other district-level leaders of the Maoist Center have also decided to join the UML.

Bista said he left the party because of the party’s failure to lead in the direction of nationalism, national independence, development and prosperity, first by sending cadres to the streets and then passing the US aid project Millennium Challenge Compact (MCC).
