NEPSE falls by 39 points on Sunday



KATHMANDU: The stock market gauge Nepal Stock Market Exchange (NEPSE) has declined by 39.40 points on Sunday, the first trading day of the week. The market fell 1.44 percent on Sunday to 2693.10 points.

Despite the market downturn, the share price of United Idi-Mardi RB Hydropower turned positive today. Its investors gained 10 percent.

Investors including those in Tanahu Power, Samling Power, Nepal Finance and Jeevan Bikas Microfinance financial institution earned on the day of market decline on Sunday.

Investors flocked to Jeevan Bikas after it offered a 73.68 percent bonus. Its 111,344 shares have been traded 4,740 times today. Out of this, shares worth Rs. 580 million have been traded.

Companies including Narayani Development Bank, United Insurance Company, Ruru Hydropower and Premier Insurance have lost more than 3 percent on the day of market decline.

Api Power Company is the most traded stock Sunday. Its 321,830 shares have been traded. A total of 7.12 million shares of 230 companies were traded 57,000 times today. Sunday witnessed the transaction Rs 4.8 billion in the stock market.
