Nepal sees 12,338 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 6,981 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 12,338 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Thursday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 10,052 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 2,286 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 5,001 cases in Kathmandu, 850 in Bhaktapur and 1,130 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 6,981 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there was four coronavirus-related deaths reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,632 to date.

Currently, there are 57,328 active cases in the country.

In the past 24-hour period, 649 infected patients recovered.
