GAUR: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Renu Yadav has given a provocative statement targeting Janamat Party Chairman CK Raut.

Yadav, also a leader of the Janata Samajwadi Party, threatened to kill Janmat Party Chairman CK Raut if he clashed with them.

Raut’s cadres tried to obstruct her while she was on her way to attend a program in Gaur.

In a speech, she warned that the Rice Mill incident could happen again and Raut could be killed referring to the 2007 incident.

On 21 March 2007, the then Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) and the Maoists held separate programs at the Rice Mill in Gaur in which 28 CPN-M cadres were killed when MJF cadres attacked the Maoists.

During the address, Minister Yadav repeatedly challenged Raut not to forget the Rice Mill incident.

“The rice mill is still afresh in the minds of the people. Don’t try to show off in Gaur,” she said, adding, “People here know how to break sticks and batons.”

“If you try to fight the storm, you will be in the same situation as people faced in the rice mill in Gaur,” she warned.

“I want to tell Dr. Raut not to forget that history. Otherwise, your cadres will be surrounded and killed.”

She even challenged Raut to show his courage by laying siege to Singha Durbar.
