Former CJ Mohan Prasad Sharma passes away

KATHMANDU: Former Chief Justice (CJ) of the Supreme Court, Mohan Prasad Sharma has passed away today at the age of 88.

He breathed his last at his residence in Kamalpokhari on Wednesday.

Sharma, who joined the government service in 2015 BS, was promoted from the post of section officer of the Ministry of Law in 2017 BS and served as the Chief Justice of Nepal.

Sharma is survived by a son and a daughter.

According to family sources, the funeral will be held after the son returns from Canada.
