Nepal Police prepares materials for peaceful, safe society



CHITWAN: The Nepal Police in collaboration with the local government units have prepared resource materials targeting local students to contribute to build peaceful and safe society.

The District Police Office Chitwan in cahoots with seven local level units of the district have developed the awareness raising materials for school students.

According to the district police sources, the resource materials had been dispatched to the schools after signing contract with the Bharatpur metropolis last year.

As part of the campaign, the district police has intensified preparation to distribute the resource materials to the schools across the district following contract signing with Ichhakamana rural municipality on December 18.

Chief of the District Police Office Chitwan, SP Nawaraj Adhikari informed that the revised resource materials have been printed and distributed to the schools as per the agreement between the concerned local government units and district police.

The resource materials include the contents related to drug abuse, smoking, alcoholism, Cyber Crime and complaint process, safe use of social media and crime against women and children.

Contents also included in the resource materials are social crime, domestic violence and complaint procedure, rape related crimes, traffic awareness, disaster risk reduction measures, suicide symptoms and mitigation measures, and security.
