Unified Socialist holding Parliamentary Party meet



KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist party led by Madhav Kumar Nepal is holding a meeting of its parliamentary party (PP) today.

In the meeting to be held Monday afternoon, the meeting will discuss issues such as the selection of the PP leader, deputy leader, and chief whip, among others.

It is likely that party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal will be elected as the leader of the parliamentary party on the basis of consensus.

A leader informed that Chairman Nepal will also inform the meeting about the ongoing discussions between the parties regarding the formation of a new government.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has already asked the parties to suggest the name of Prime Minister within a week.
