Journalist Kandel dies in road accident



KATHMANDU: Journalist NB (Nar Bahadur) Kandel of Rupandehi has died in a road accident.

The accident took place on Friday evening.

Kandel was riding a motorcycle (Lu. 44 Pa. 8201) from Butwal to Bhairahawa when a Readymix vehicle (Lu.1 Ka. 5276) hit him at Janakinagar in Tilottama Municipality-2.

A permanent resident of Saina Maina Municipality-1, Rupandehi, 35-year-old Kandel was based in Butwal.

He died during treatment at Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal, said Chief of Area Police Office Butwal Thag Bahadur KC.

The vehicle and the driver involved in the accident have been apprehended. (RSS)
