NA secures gold medal in 400 women relay



POKHARA: The Nepal Army has clinched the gold medal in the women’s 400-meter relay in the ongoing 9th National Games. The NA team defeated Gandaki Province team.

Ramita Gurung, Saraswati Chaudhari, Jayrani Tharu and Nirmala Thapa from Nepal Army completed the race in 49.60 seconds. Similarly, Mashina Adhikari, Anisha Bhandari, Sabina Khatun Minya and Nisha Gharti of Gandaki Province completed the race at 52.75 seconds, thereby securing silver medal.

For Bagmati Province, Rajita Dulal, Swagata Khaiju, Prakriti Suwal and Lujana Amatya secured the race at 52.76 seconds.

Moreover, the Armed Police Force team clinched the gold medal in the men’s 400-meter relay race.

Nir Pratap Mahato, Ashish Chaudhari, Shivaraj Parki and Chandra Bahadur Pulami Magar of APF completed the relay in 42.44 seconds, while Jivan Chaudhari, Bibash Tharu, Yubraj BK and Dilli Bhandari of Nepal Army got it covered at 42.60 seconds and bagged the silver medal.

Siman Pande, Sujal Dangi, Roshan Tharu, and Tulsiram Tharu of Lumbini completed the race at 44.38 seconds, thereby securing bronze medal.
