APF team wins women volleyball

9th National Games:



POKHARA: The Armed Police Force women’s team has won the volleyball competition organized under the ongoing 9th National Games.

The APF women team defeated the Nepal Police Club team in three sets to one to win the gold medal.

The APF women team defeated the Nepal Police women team in first set by 15-19, in second set by 30-28 and by 25-19 in fourth set. In the third set, Nepal Police team defeated APF women team with by 26-24.

The game was played under the captainships of Binita Budhathoki of APF and of Kamala Pun of Nepal Police.

Similarly, Bagmati Province has secured third position by defeating home team Gandaki in three sets. The Bagmati Province won the second, third and fourth sets while Gandaki won the first set.

All seven provinces and three departmental teams have participated in the volleyball match played under the 9th National Games that began on October 14. The National Sports Council has awarded each player of the APF with Rs 15,000.
