Bus carrying mourners  meets with accident in Jhapa, 28 injured



BIRTAMOD: 28 people got injured on Wednesday afternoon when a bus carrying the mourners met with an accident at Shivasatkshi-9, Jhapa.

According to Jhapa police, out of 28 injured people three are in serious condition.

The bus 7 B 2651 was returning to Kunjibari carrying the mourners from Muktighat of Kankai river.

The eyewitnesses said that the bus happened to hit a tree near the road in an attempt skip collision with another bus coming from the same direction.

Preliminary investigation shows that the accident occurred when the bus driver tried to avoid collision and jammed brake suddenly, the police said.

All the injured have been taken to Birtamod Hospital for treatment.
