UML Senior Vice Chair Pokhrel urges not to dig further into M Adhikari



BIRATNAGAR: CPN-UML Senior Vice Chairman Ishwar Pokharel has urged not to inquire too much about M Adhikari, who figured in the UML’s finance and planning department as a member.

Various political parties and student organizations are demanding the resignation of Central Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari asserting that the governor and M Adhikari is the same person.

Speaking at a function held by Press Chautari in Biratnagar on Tuesday, Senior Vice President Pokharel said there was no need for further the issue as the persons concerned had already furnished the clarification.

“The individual himself furnished clarification and UML too has given its statement,” said Pokhrel, “After this much, the issue should be put to rest. No more discussion on it is required.”

He said that the identity of M Adhikari would be made public if necessary.
