KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who preferred to not appear before the International Relations Committee of the Federal Parliament on the State Partnership Program (SPP) on Sunday, has called a meeting of the ruling coalition to discuss the issue.

Top leaders of the coalition have already reached Baluwatar to discuss the SPP at a meeting convened at the PM’s residence.

Opposition lawmakers have, meanwhile, criticized PM Deuba for not attending Sunday’s International Relations Committee meeting.

Even Madhav Kumar Nepal, Chairman of the ruling party, Unified Socialist, has been demanding that Prime Minister Deuba responded to SPP and his forthcoming US visit.
