Impact of monsoon seen in eastern Nepal, yet to spread across country



KATHMANDU: Even though the monsoon has entered Nepal a week earlier than the normal time, it has yet to spread across the country.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, the effect of monsoon is seen only in Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

The rest of the area is affected by local and westerly winds.

Eastern and central Nepal has been receiving regular rainfall.

Meanwhile, some places of Bagmati and Gandaki received brief rainfall on Sunday morning.

In the afternoon, rain has been forecast in some places of Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati, Lumbini and Gandaki.
