Attempts to break alliance should be thwarted: Prime Minister Deuba

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that there are attempts to break the coalition and urged all to work to foil it.

Speaking at the founding day program of NC’s student wing Nepal Students Union (NSU) in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Prime Minister Deuba said that the alliance should not be broken under any circumstances.

Stating that no single party can bag majority under current situation, the Prime Minister described the coalition as the need of the hour.

“As no single party can claim majority to form the government, the coalition is a must for all parties,” Prime Minister Deuba said, adding, “The attempts to break the coalition should be thwarted.”

He remarked that minor misunderstandings or attempts to claim more posts were a natural phenomenon of any coalition and the issues have to be settled considering ‘give and take’ from both sides.
