Govt administering Vitamin ‘A’ and albendazole to children today and tomorrow



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government is administering vitamin ‘A’ and albendazole to children across the country today and tomorrow.

Vitamin ‘A’ and albendazole are being provided to the children in all 753 local units under the second phase of the National Vitamin ‘A’ Program.

According to the Family Welfare Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, Vitamin ‘A’ will be provided to children aged six to 59 months while albendazole will be administered from one to five years old children.

The government is making preparations to administer Vitamin ‘A’ to 2.7 million children and albendazole to over 2,393,000 children, according to the Division.

Vitamin ‘A’ and albendazole will be provided at nearby schools and health centers.
