Nepal sees 17 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses five new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 17 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases today, eight were detected through the RT-PCR method and nine from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the country has got relief from coronavirus related death of late. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,950 to date.

Similarly, Kathmandu  valley witnessed five new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Kathmandu district got four  new cases and Lalitpur had one.

Currently, there are 3,595 active cases in the country as 409 infected patients recovered.
