FoNIJ schedules national convention on March 20-21 in Chitwan

KATHMANDU: The seventh national general convention of the Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities Journalists’ (FoNIJ) is to take place in Sauraha, Chitwan, on March 20-21.

FoNIJ General Secretary Manoj Gharti Magar confirmed the schedule for the national gathering in the district of Bagmati Province. A total of 488 journalists from 60 districts across the country are expected to take part in the national event.

Likewise, it will be attended by representatives from its eight chapters abroad such as in the UK, US, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

The national convention to be held in the Sauraha Tharu Culture House will elect a new leadership of the organization for a three-year term.
