NEPSE witnesses downtrend Wednesday



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has seen a sharp decline on Wednesday. The NEPSE index measuring share turnover fell by 38.35 points to 539.65 points.

NEPSE has declined by 1.31 percent. The Sensitive Index also rose by 1.43 points to reach 539.65 points today.

According to NEPSE, a total of 1837,215 shares of 228 companies were traded at a turnover of Rs 6.21 billion.

Of the total 13 subgroups traded, shares of all subgroups declined on Wednesday.

Api Power Company Limited had the highest number of transactions. The company had a turnover of Rs 20.32 million today.

Similarly, investors of Buddhabhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited earned the highest profit on Wednesday. The company’s share price has risen 9.97 percent to  reach Rs 287.80.

The share price of Ghalemdi Hydropower Company Limited has declined the most today. The company’s share price fell by 4.34 percent to reach Rs 353 per share.
