KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda has congratulated Madhesi people including the provincial lawmakers for naming Pradesh 2 as Madhesh Pradesh and Janakpur as its capital.
A provincial assembly meeting of Pradesh 2 on Monday had named the province as Madhesh and Janakpur as its capital by two thirds majority.
Posting a twitter message this morning Chairman Prachanda congratulated Madhesi people stating that the Province 2 has been named as Madhesh as per the spirit of the federalism with identity advocated by his party.
“Province 2 has been named as Madesh and Janakpur as its capital in line with the spirit of the federalism with identity advocated by our party,” said Prachanda, congratulating the Madheshi people.
