Office bearers’ meeting of Maoist Center underway at Parisdanda

KATHMANDU: The office bearers’ meeting of the Maoist Center is underway at the central party office in Parisdanda, Koteswor.

The meeting is discussing issues such as the November 20 general election, initiatives to form a new government, and the current political scenario, among others, party sources said.

The meeting is also discussing the possibility of Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda becoming the Prime Minister.

It should be noted that Maoist Chairman Prachanda has insisted that he should be the Prime Minister.

On Saturday, Prachanda asked Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba to support him in becoming the Prime Minister.

Deuba, however, said he would discuss the issue only after the NC parliament party leader is elected.
