FIFA World Cup: Argentina locking horns with France tonight

KATHMANDU: Argentina will face defending champion France in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday.

Argentina qualified for the final after a comprehensive 3-0 win against Croatia in the semifinals, while France clinched a 2-0 win against Morocco to reach its second successive final.

France is the defending champion and no country has won back-to-back World Cup titles in 60 years.

France star Kylian Mbappe scored five goals this World Cup and four in 2018.

He is just 23 and became the first teenager to score at a World Cup final since Pelé in 1958 and this year he surpassed Pelé’s World Cup scoring record for a player under 24 with his 9 total goals.
