BIRGUNJ: Two people have been arrested from Birgunj with fake ballot papers and Swastik stamps.

33-year-old Rajan Singh of Birgunj-16 Inarwa and 23-year-old Amiri Raut Kurmi of Kalaiya-16, Bara were arrested.

They were arrested by a joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police when they were coming to Birgunj from Kalaiya in Ba 01-025 Ch 6636.

A team led by Inspector Rabindra Bhatt of Armed Police Force Border Out Post Birganj and Police Inspector Bishal Malla of Ward Police Office Birgunj seized fake ballot papers and cash while checking the car on Thursday night.

Tej Prasad Pokharel, Chief Armed Police Inspector of Armed Police Force No. 13 Headquarters Parsa informed that 10,000 fake ballot papers, 250 swastika stamps, 48 ​​stamp pads and Rs 272,000 cash were seized while checking the car coming from Kalaiya direction at Birgunj Bus Park area.

About 300 fake ballots were found stamped on bicycle marks.

According to the District Police Office Parsa, an investigation is being carried out regarding the constituency for which they went with fake ballot papers and money.
