Major trading post in Birgunj closed for 72 hours



KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal has barricaded the main road of customs at Inarwa in Birgunj and stopped the movement of vehicles and people from Friday.

All the points of the district connected with India have been closed to prevent possible criminal activities from across the border during the November 20 elections.

Chief District Officer of Parsa, Umesh Kumar Dhakal informed that the border was closed for 72 hours from 12 pm last night.

November 20 has been fixed as the day of simultaneous voting for the twin elections.
