3 killed, 1 injured as bus hits an autorickshaw in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: Three people were killed when a passenger bus hit an autorickshaw at the East-West Mahendra Highway in Rautahat’s Chandrapur municipality.

A passenger bus going from Kathmandu to Sarlahi’s Byalbas and the autorickshaw collided with each other at 4:30 am on Thursday.

According to the Chandranigahapur police office, out of the four people in the autorickshaw, three died.

The deceased have been identified as Dhak Bahadur Lungeli Magar, Prem Thada Magar, and the auto driver Ravi Magar who are residents of Sarlahi-2.

Dhak Bahadur’s wife, Sabina Lungeli, who was injured in the accident, was sent to Birgunj after initial treatment at Chandrapur Hospital.

The police have taken the bus and the driver into custody and have started an investigation into the accident.
