Maoist Center holding SC meeting; likely to finalize office bearers



KATHMANDU: The Maoist Center is holding a meeting of its Standing Committee to finalize the names of its office-bearers today.

The party is under pressure to finalize the names of the office bearers.

The meeting to be held at the party central office in Parisdanda, Koteswor will focus on the names proposed by the party leadership.

According to Maoist spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara, preparations are being made to finalize the names of the Central Committee, Politburo, Standing Committee and other officials.

The party on Wednesday proposed the names of 41 Standing Committee members.

Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” made the list public at the party office proposing the names of the Standing Committee members.

The names include Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, Narayankaji Shrestha, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Dev Gurung, Janardhan Sharma, Pampha Bhusal, Ganesh Sah, and Girirajmani Pokharel.

Likewise, other members include Haribol Gajurel, Shakti Basnet, Chakrapani Khanal, Devendra Paudel, Matrika Yadav, Lilamani Pokharel and Hitman Shakya.

Others include Hitraj Pandey, Ram Karki, Yashoda Subedi Gurung, Amrita Thapa, Kali Bahadur Malla, Khagaraj Bhatta, and Kamala Rokka.

Similarly, the other names include Rekha Sharma, Urmila Aryal, Jaipuri Gharti, Onsari Gharti, Shashi Shrestha, Purnakumari Subedi, Anjana Bisankhe, Shriram Dhakal, Hakkimullah Khan, Maheshwar Gahatraj, Narayan Dahal, Bishwanath Shah, Satya Pahari, Dinanath Sharma, Dilaram Acharya, Bamdev Chhetri and Kul Prasad KC.
