PM Agriculture Project sees inadequate human resource

BAGLUNG: The Prime Minister Agriculture Modernization Project is being operated relying on the capacity of acting leadership.

The project implementation unit here has been operating without a senior agriculture officer for the past nine months.

There is the designated position of the under-secretary as the chief of the office in the project.

However, the Agriculture Officer has been taking up the same responsibility.

Acting Chief of the Project Sujit Poudel said inadequacy of human resources has added challenges to the operation of the project.

According to him, only three people are working as sub-technical assistance where eight postings are lying vacant for the same.

Likewise, a vacant post is lying for an agriculture officer in the project.

Now only 13 employees are working while there is a designated posting of total 20 employees.
