NC candidate Shrestha wins in Bharatpur-6



BHARATPUR: Krishna Lal Shrestha of Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected chairperson in Ward no. 6 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Out of 5,582 votes cast in May 13 election, Shrestha got elected in Ward 6 with 2, 735 votes.

His nearest rival Dol Narayan Adhikari of UML got 2,117 votes.

Mayoral candidate of the coalition Renu Dahal has taken the lead with a difference of 1,712 votes while counting 28,438 votes up to ward number 6.

She has got 9,970 votes while UML’s Vijay Subedi has got 8,258 votes. Similarly, independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has got 4,504 votes.

Similarly, to the post of Deputy Mayor Chitrasen Adhikari of NC has got 11,956 votes while Himala Gurung of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has got 6,742 votes so far.
