KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has emerged victorious in 195 local bodies municipalities while the main opposition CPN-UML has won 119 municipalities so far.
Similarly, the Maoist Center has won 85 seats and the Unified Socialist has won 7 seats.
Likewise, the Janata Samajwadi Party has won 5 seats and others have won 12 seats.
Meanwhile, the major parties are taking the lead in the remaining municipalities.
NC is leading in 129 places, UML in 94 places and Maoist Center in 36 local bodies.
The local level election was on May 13.
