NC wins chair, UML deputy chair in Katari rural municipality



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate for the post of chairman and CPN-UML candidate for the post of deputy chief of Katahari rural municipality of Morang have emerged victorious.

Devraj Chaudhary of the Nepali Congress (NC) has been elected as the chairperson by 883 votes. While Chaudhary got 6,565 votes, his nearest rival Subhash Kumar Sardar of UML got 5,682 votes.

UML’s Sita Devi Rajbanshi has been elected as the vice-chairperson with 5,848 votes.

Manjita Kumari Sardar, a rebel candidate, got 5705 votes.
