Nepal sees 51 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 51 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 12 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 39 from the antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, as there has been no coronavirus-related death in the past four days. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,950 to date.

Similarly, Kathmandu district witnessed eight coronavirus cases in past 24 hours, with Bhaktapur and Lalitpur reporting zero cases.

Currently, there are 3,996 active cases in the country as 392 infected patients recovered.
