Dr Darlami of democratic panel elected President of Nepal Engineers’ Association



KATHMANDU: Dr Hari Bahadur Darlami of Center for Democratic Engineers Association has been elected as the president of the Nepal Engineers’ Association.

Dr Darlami secured 3,930 votes while Dr Narayan Prasad Adhikari of Center for Democratic Engineers Association received 4,021 votes and was elected to the post of vice-president, shared Association’s election committee member Umesh Kumar Gupta. Candidates from democratic panel have been elected in all posts in the election.

Ravi Bhusan Jha was elected to general-secretary post while Saroj Dhital became deputy general-secretary. Dinesh Tripathi has been elected as treasurer while Deepak Adhikari became joint-treasurer.

Similarly, democratic panel’s candidates have emerged victorious in all provinces except for Madhesh Province.

National Engineers’ Association’s Gauri Pandit was elected as president in Madhesh Province’s Nepal Engineers’ Association.

Voting was conducted on March 11 for the leadership of 33rd executive committee of the Association.
