Goods worth Rs 28.5 million impounded



KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force, Nepal, has seized the goods worth Rs 28.5 million smuggled to Nepal by evading tax.

According to the APF Nepal No 13 Battalion, the seized items include clothes, electrical appliances, spare parts and foodstuffs.

The goods seized at different times have been handed over to Birgunj Customs Office and Bara-based Revenue Investigation Office.

Goods worth Rs 6.2 million was impounded from January 15 to February 12, Rs11.4 million February 13 to March 14 and Rs 10.8 million till the date from March 15 of this year.
