Man allegedly beats spouse to death



JHAPA: A man in Birtamod is alleged of beating her spouse to death. The accused is Kamal Raut, 40, of Birtamod- 5, Jhapa.

He thrashed his spouse Khemjung Gurung, 39, over a family dispute last night, leaving her severely injured.

Following the incident, the woman was taken to the Birtamod-based Kankai Hospital and was referred to Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital.

Her relatives brought the woman to her parents’ home straightly from the hospital as they were told by the hospital that treatment seemed not possible there.

The woman succumbed to beating injury later at her parents’ home. Area Police Office Anarmani said they are investigating the case.
