NC Election Committee dismisses complaint against Binod Chaudhary

KATHMANDU: The Central Election Committee (CEC) of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) has dismissed a complaint filed against NC central member Binod Chaudhary questioning his (Chaudhary’s) active membership.

In the 14th General Convention, the defeated central member candidate Dr. Subhash Chandra Yadav had lodged a complaint with the Election Committee of the Nepali Congress (NC) alleging that the candidature of Central Member Chaudhary, who was elected with the second highest number of votes, was against the party statute.

CEC’s January 14 meeting ruled on the complaint and ruled that the claim was not sufficient.

The decision of the committee has the signatures of all the members including CEC Coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire.
