NC leader Singh says he defeated communists from their former stronghold in Kathmandu 1



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakashman Singh has said that he chased away the Communists from their former stronghold in Kathmandu constituency 1.

Making public his election commitments, the ruling coalition’s candidate for House of Representatives from Kathmandu 1, Singh said, “The Communist Party had been winning the area since 2048 BS but after 2064 BS, NC defeated them and took over the constituency.”

He said that he was becoming a candidate for the fourth time in this constituency because of the trust of the voters in him.

Stating that after he was elected he had honestly executed the mandate given to him by the people, he said, “I have won time and again because I stood up to the expectations of the citizens here through my work.”

He added those elected from Kathmandu 1 had made it to top ranks of state organs.
