UML’s secretariat meeting ends



KATHMANDU: The secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) summoned on Saturday to prepare the candidates under the proportional electoral system for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly polls has ended by holding discussions over the issue.

The next meeting of the party secretariat is to hold on Sunday as well.

After the meeting, UML leader Prithvi Subba Gurung said discussions were to prepare the parameters for finalizing the candidates under the proportional electoral system while considering the aspect of inclusion as well.

Meanwhile, the meeting has expressed sorrow over the loss caused by the flooding and landslides caused in the district of Achham and has asked the government for the immediate relief and rescue operations.

The meeting also expressed sorrow to the government of Pakistan and people there to the damages caused by the flooding in Pakistan.
