Nepal sees 63 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 63 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 35 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 28 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,740 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,574 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,166 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,966 active cases in the country as 131 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,016 to date.
