NEPSE decreases by 0.36 points on Wednesday



KATHMANDU: On Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) declined by 0.36 points to close at 2040.70 points.

NEPSE, which had decreased for five consecutive days until Sunday, increased by 55.88 points on Monday and decreased by 24.83 points on Tuesday. However, on Wednesday, it closed at 2040.70 points due to a general decline of 0.36 points.

Along with NEPSE, there was a general decline in banking life insurance, hotel and tourism, business investment and other sub-indices, while hydropower sub-indices increased the most by 0.68 percent.

The transaction amount also went down Wednesday. NEPSE which had traded worth Rs 2.43 billion in the market on Monday, and Rs 2.73 billion on Tuesday traded only Rs 1.4 billion from 3,497,881 shares today.

Ridi Hydropower had the highest turnover of 184.3 million, while Shivam Cement had a turnover of 69.1 million on Wednesday.
