Transport management service office set up in Rajbiraj

RAJBIRAJ: The Transport Management Service Office has been brought into operation in Rajbiraj of Saptari district.

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development of Madhes Province Ram Saroj Yadav and Minister for Finance Shailendra Prasad Saha jointly inaugurated the office established at Rajbiraj municipality-9 along the Rajbiraj-Rupani road section.

Truck Entrepreneurs’ Association Saptari chair Jagadish Aryal announced to donate Association’s two kattha land at Rajbiraj-9, Maleth to the Transport Management Office.

It may be noted that the province government had decided to establish the transport management service office at Rajbiraj last year.

Office Chief Shahsi Yadav said the office setup has ended the compulsion of service-receivers of Saptari to travel to Siraha for transport related works.

According to him, the office would deliver the services related to renewal of vehicle ownership and driver license certificates, vehicle registration, vehicle pass route permission and transport service registration, among others.

The province so far has transport service office in Birgunj, Lahan and Janakpur.
