Nepal sees 135 new coronavirus cases, one death in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 135 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 114 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 21 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,041 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 1,473 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,568 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 1,439 active cases in the country as 59 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

One person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has increased to 11,953.
