Maoist leader Shrestha stresses on Left unity



KATHMANDU: Maoist Centre leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has said once the leftist movement is terminated, the country becomes weak.

“Vendetta within the leftist force has dented leftist campaign,” he observed.

Shrestha underscored the need for unity among leftist forces. He further said common policy among all political parties is imperative for sustained non-aligned policy and diplomatic affairs. If all parties have a common stand on foreign policy, none can weaken system, Shrestha reiterated.

He viewed there should be clean politics to address national challenges.

Likewise, Chairperson of Janata Samajbadi Party, Upendra Yadav, said Nepal’s geopolitical presence was weakening which has impacted on national politics.

Nepali Congress leader Chandra Bhandari also spoke for the similar stand among all parties on foreign policy.

Moreover, Chairperson of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rajendra Lingden, said the relations with neighbours should be restored.
