EC discloses result of 339 levels, NC stands first followed by UML



KATHMANDU: Out of 753 local levels, the final results of 339 local levels have been made public.

According to the Election Commission, the Nepali Congress (NC) has won 153 out of 339 local levels. NC has won 117 rural and 36 municipal chiefs. Following NC, UML has won 95 seats at the local level.

UML has won 77 village chairpersons and 18 municipal chiefs.

Similarly, the CPN- Maoist Center has won at 74 local levels. Maoist Center has won 66 rural municipality chairpersons and 8 municipal mayors.

In the ongoing vote count, Janata Samajwadi Party candidates have been elected as the chairmen of four rural municipalities while CPN-Unified Socialist has won one municipality chief.

According to the results so far, 9 village councils and 3 municipality chiefs have won on the other side.

Other parties and independent candidates have won the mayoral post in three municipalities and the post of rural municipality chairpersons in 9 levels.
