Dispute between brothers leads to firing in Dhanusha, 11 arrested



JANAKPURDHAM: A dispute between two brothers in Nagarain has reached to firing in Dhanusha on Tuesday.

According to police, the shooting took place last night during a domestic dispute between Jamun Paswan and Nasib Paswan of Akaura in Nagarain Municipality-8.

Jamun and Nasib are brothers.

According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, 50-year-old Srinarayan Paswan of Nasib’s party shot at Jamun during a scuffle between the two sides in which Jamun, 71, was shot in the right arm.

He is currently undergoing treatment at Janakpur Provincial Hospital.

According to Dhanusha Police Spokesperson DSP Pradip Chhetri, police recovered two pistols and 12 rounds of ammunition from the spot.

Police have arrested 11 people for their involvement in the incident.

Locals Indranarayan Paswan, Abhishek Paswan, Somnath Paswan, Ajay Paswan, Rajiv Paswan, Dharmendra Paswan, Rajiv Paswan, Prasadi Paswan, Prahlad Paswan, Vijay Kumar Paswan, and Rajan Paswan have been arrested, police said.

DSP Chhetri said that further investigation is underway.
