Bharatpur Metropolis: Renu Dahal widens lead with 119 votes

Renu: 6,319, Subedi: 6,200, Independent: 3,081



CHITWAN: CPN (Maoist Center) leader Renu Dahal, the candidate of the ruling coalition for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has taken the lead with 119 votes.

Out of 18, 883 votes counted so far, Renu got 6, 319 votes.

Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Bijay Subedi got 6,200 votes. He is 119 votes behind Renu Dahal.

Independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has got 3,081 votes.

In deputy mayor, Chitrasen Adhikari of the Nepali Congress has received 7,699 votes in the election. Himala Gurung of RPP has received 5,082 votes.

Earlier, NC candidates have been elected from ward no. 1,2,4.  UML candidate has won the ward chair of Ward no. 3.

1 27, 839 votes have been cast in Bharatpur Metropolitan City.

Apart from Madi and Ichchakamana, the five-party alliance has maintained its lead in the four municipalities of the district.
