Balen maintains lead in Kathmandu mayoral race

Balen: 10,899, Sthapit: 5,841, Sirjana: 5,114



KATHMANDU: The counting of votes is underway in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. So far, 27,200 votes have been counted.

According to the latest results, independent candidate Balen Shah has maintained his lead with 10,899 votes. CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit has received less than half of Balen’s votes. He has received 5,841 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Sirjana Singh got 5,114 votes.
