Bharatpur Metropolis: Renu Dahal leading with 63 votes

CHITWAN: CPN (Maoist Center) leader Renu Dahal, the candidate of the ruling coalition for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has taken the lead with 63 votes.

Out of 18, 047 votes counted so far, Renu got 6, 019 votes.

Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Bijay Subedi got 5,956 votes. He is 63 votes behind Renu Dahal.

Independent candidate Jagannath Poudel has got 2,788 votes.

In deputy mayor, Chitrasen Adhikari of the Nepali Congress has received 7,346 votes in the election. Himala Gurung of RPP has received 4,883 votes.

Arpan Pokhrel of the Nepali Congress (NC) won the election with 2,499 votes in ward no. 4 by defeating CPN-UML candidate Bhanubhakta Sapkota.
