Suspended Governor Adhikari moves apex court against government decision

Seeks interim order to reinstate him

KATHMANDU: Suspended Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari has moved the court against the government’s decision to suspend him.

The government had formed a three-member probe committee under a former Supreme Court justice on April 9 which led to the automatic suspension of Adhikari.

Adhikari filed a writ petition against the government move, seeking an interim order to reclaim his post.

Adhikari’s lawyers reached the apex court on Sunday to file the writ petition.
