32 fire incidents take place in 24 hours, one killed, five injured



KATHMANDU: With the onset of summer, fire incidents have been on the rise, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.

In the past 24 hours, 32 incidents of fire have taken place across the country, killing a person and injuring five others, it said.

Properties worth approximately Rs 20 million were burnt down in the incidents.

The deceased has been identified as a five-year-old boy. He died when a fire broke out in a house at Bodebarsine Municipality-10 in Saptari district.

Five people were injured in fires in Rautahat and Parsa districts, said the Authority.
