Army personnel drowns in a pond in Chitwan



CHITWAN: A Nepal Army man has drowned in a pond at Daldale in Chitwan district.

Pawan Katuwal, 26, of Khotang Rural Municipality-4 in Khotang district, who was posted at Saili Maili Post jumped into a pond in an attempt to escape a rhino attack, resulting in his death, said the district police office.

The incident occurred on Wednesday evening while guarding the Chitwan National Park, said the police.
